Truthear Introduces Their All-New Hybrid Penta Driver IEM - The Nova
Truthear presents the Nova, a hybrid driver IEM featuring a combination of 1 dynamic driver (DD) and 4 balanced armature (BA) drivers, all seamlessly integrated with a 3-way crossover composite structure. The tuning of the Truthear Nova adheres to the Harman IE 2019 and the Harman OE 2013 standards, with a focus on achieving clear and natural sound. For added comfort and a snug fit, the shells were co-designed with HeyGears and crafted using cutting-edge DLP 3D printing technology. To complete the package, the Nova comes with multiple sets of eartips and a newly designed single crystal copper wire cable for a comprehensive listening experience.
Hybrid Driver Configuration With A 3-Way Crossover Composite Structure
The Truthear Nova is an in-ear monitor (IEM) that employs a 10mm specialised dynamic driver (1DD) for handling bass frequencies. This dynamic driver utilises a polyurethane suspension composite liquid crystal dome diaphragm and a dual-cavity internal magnetic circuit powered by an N52 magnet. The Nova incorporates a dual-balanced armature driver with larger dimensions, responsible for midrange and a portion of treble frequencies. This driver is carefully tuned to complement the specialised dynamic driver's frequency range. Furthermore, the Nova includes a custom composite double-balanced armature driver, akin to the SWFK series, focusing on delivering treble frequencies. This intricate combination extends the overall bandwidth.
Meticulously Tuned To Deliver A Highly Engaging & Natural Sound
The Truthear Nova has been tuned, following the Harman IE 2019 curve, albeit with a slightly reduced emphasis on bass. It closely aligns with the high-frequency amplitude response outlined in the Harman OE 2013 target, emphasising high HRTF characteristics. This approach yields a warm, gentle, clear, and natural sound, attributed to a brand-new system design that lowers the Q value.
Equips High-Precision DLP-3D Printing Technology For Enhanced Performance
Truthear Nova employs high-precision DLP-3D printing technology to create an acoustic waveguide structure with a filtering function. These elements enable the five drivers to perform optimally under distinct acoustic waveguides, bringing Nova's objective performance closer to the design goal established for the Hexa model. The Nova maintains consistent phase across the frequency spectrum, avoiding common connection issues that can occur in many multi-driver earphones, resulting in a natural sound with minimised phase distortion.
Ergonomically Designed With 3D Printed Cavity
Truthear has partnered with HeyGears, a prominent name in 3D printing, to create the shells for the Nova. These shells are crafted using HeyGears' DLP 3D printing technology, utilising medical-grade high-transparency resin. It ensures the lightweight cavity is not only comfortable to wear but also made from skin-friendly and dependable materials. It is coupled with a high-precision 3D printed texture panel featuring a sandwich-like structure, comprising a front cavity, a smoothly curved cover, and the addition of a few drops of glue to seal the seams. This design results in an aesthetically pleasing faceplate while promising a robust and reliable structure.
Comes With Multiple Sets Of Ear Tips For Snug Fit
In addition to the traditional slim ear tips, the Truthear Nova includes short double-flange and long double-flange ear tips, as well as foam ear tips equipped with multiple limiters. The use of double-flange ear tips effectively shifts the resonance peak of high frequencies backwards, resulting in exceptionally clear and clean treble. This adjustment helps negate any effects caused by the resonance peak, delivering a distinct listening experience akin to the classic ER4 single-balanced armature driver but with Nova's high-frequency performance.
Features High-Quality Cable With Detachable Design
Truthear Nova is furnished with a versatile 0.78 2-pin connector and ear hooks for length and angle correction. It features newly designed four strands of 112 core single-crystal copper wire with a robust wire skin material, offering excellent sound quality and user convenience. Moreover, this design allows for endless possibilities by enabling cable customisation and offering various cable options.
