AFUL Presents SnowyNight - Their First portable DAC & Amp
AFUL has launched its first-ever portable USB DAC & Amp after extensive research and development. The all-new SnowyNight features a high-end dual DAC chipset, an enhanced Connector Cable and various advanced features. The AFUL SnowyNight promises exceptional audio performance with a best-in-class signal-to-noise ratio and ultra-low THD+N distortion performance. It allows a customised sound and user experience with two gain levels, five filters and UAC1.0 and UAC2.0 Mode. AFUL provides a Type-C to Type-C data cable, allowing compatibility with most source devices.
Enjoy High-Resolution Decoding With Flagship CS43198 DAC Chipset
The AFUL SnowyNight houses a dual CS43198 DAC chipset for high-resolution audio decoding. It supports bitrates up to 32-bit/768kHz for PCM signals and DSD256 for native DSD signals for accurate sound reproduction with best-in-class SNR, DNR and THD+N performance. The AFUL SnowyNight achieves a 125dB SNR through its 3.5mm port and 130dB SNR through the 4.4mm port, with a non-audible noise floor of 1uV (3.5mm) and 1.5uV (4.4mm). It works seamlessly with your smart devices, ensuring superior sound reproduction across various devices.
Offers Dual Headphone Output Connectivity And Two Gain Levels
The AFUL SnowyNight offers dual headphone output ports, supporting single-ended (3.5mm) and balanced (4.4mm) connections. It includes a high-power amp section that delivers up to 300mW through the 4.4mm balanced output, effectively driving most IEMs and headphones. You can switch between high and low gain modes by pressing both Volume + and Volume - buttons simultaneously. It supports an output frequency range of 20Hz-20kHz and various output levels, ensuring clean power signal processing and efficient performance from low-power input directly from the connected source.
Clean Data Transmission With High-Quality USB Cable
To enhance SnowyNight's performance, AFUL improved USB signal transmission, recognizing that USB transmission is typically less clean than Coaxial or Optical, portable USB DAC/AMPs rely on USB for data. Its USB cable is crafted from high-purity 6N monocrystalline copper to ensure stable, lossless transmission and shields against electromagnetic interference. It matches the performance of Coaxial and Optical inputs, supporting stable data transmission with minimal loss and low latency.
Personalised User Experience With UAC1.0 and UAC2.0 Mode
Note: UAC mode cannot be switched during device operation. The UAC2.0 is the default mode on startup.
Five Filter Modes For A Customised Listening Experience
The AFUL SnowyNight offers five filter modes to customise your listening experience. These modes allow you to tweak the sound of your music to suit your preferences. To switch between modes, press and hold the combo key (volume "+" and "-") for one second. The LED will indicate the mode switch: Modes 1-4 flash once, while Mode 5 flashes twice in white. The filter customisation is as follows: Mode 1 is a fast roll-off, low-latency filter. Mode 2 is a fast roll-off, phase-compensated filter. Mode 3 is a slow roll-off, low-latency filter. Mode 4 is a slow roll-off, phase-compensated filter. Mode 5 is a non-oversampling filter

I know how to switch between high and low gain. I don't know how to switch between filters.
During device operation, pressing and holding both the Volume + and Volume - buttons simultaneously for more than 1 second (i.e., long-pressing the combination keys) will toggle the filter mode once. There are a total of five modes. Modes 1 to 4 will cause the white light to blink once, while Mode 5 will cause the white light to blink twice.
I don't know How to switch between high and low gain.
Press Volume + and Volume - at the same time to switch between high and low gain modes.
Do you know if the AFUL SnowyNight has inline mic passthrough for phone/pc?
According to the brand. It does not have a microphone itself and will use the microphone that comes with the phone/computer when making calls.
If the current mode is 1.0, is there a specific button sequence or operation to switch back to 2.0 mode?
Please simply unplug and reinsert SnowyNight once to restore UAC2.0.
